Hi, it's me, Pie. For real this time. I feel like some kind of explanation is in order right about now.
So here's what's been going on. Sometime in March I was running low on topics to write on. Nothing really interesting was happening after we'd come back from Ireland and after I finished writing that hella old Carol spin off I was kinda desperate for ideas. And so, I came up with the brilliant idea of writing posts that seemed like they were real, but the weren't. The idea was to slowly star introducing more fantastical elements to the posts and kinda see how people reacted, and how long it would take for them to realise this was all fiction.
BUT THEN. My inability to keep a schedule caught up to me, and ganged up with my lack of a proper plan and the whole thing started to fall apart. I had no idea where I wass going with it. I had no motivation to keep it steady. I felt terrible about both those things and that caused me to avoid the whole shebang which made the situation worse and made me avoid it and cue a downward spiral that culminated on that one post in May. You know the one.
After that I felt like I had to come back with a bang and I had plans to do that during midsummer but then surprisingly I had things to do during midsummer and had no time to write. So I pushed it back again until August when Mutu came back and had no more cool South American stories to tell. And it was fine for a bit, I did manage to get out eight posts, but it kinda fell victim to that same gang of schedule keeping and lack of ideas as it did before, with the added bonus of a lot of school stuff. And again I let it kinda dwindle down and now it's not really... idk, it is what it is.
And I mean, it was a fun little writing experiment and I hope that some of you got something out of it. I had a lot of plans for it, but like with a lot of my plans, it collapsed under its own size. I'm still working on figuring out how much exactly I can chew. Sorry if I disappointed someone, but, like... you know.
If someone is curious about wtf was going on in the story, who was Mal and what happens next, it is all a part of the novels I've talked about here before (like years ago lol), about a group of dragon riders who uncover a conspiracy, so like... Hopefully I'll manage to finish that sometime, and maybe you'll find out. (tho if someone is really curious, I guess I can make a post about it sometime later)
But onwards to new things, ones that will definitely be finished! Because it's not just on me to finish them! That's right, Christmas is coming and that means a Christmas story!
We'll be writing it together with Mutu, just the two of us this time, and we'll be writing the parts a few days in advance so we can keep a consistend upload schedule. Look at us, being all smart and practical! It'll start on December 1st like usual, and it'll go until the 24th probably, unless we can't wrap it up in time though I hope we will. We will also be posting the parts in the morning, which we can do since we're writing them ahead of time, all for your reading convenience!
We're already working on ideas for the story, but that's spoilers for you, so that's that on that. See you in December!
