Oops.

So I fucked up. Sorry, fudged. I had no time during the day on Friday and we left for Canada pretty much right after Maria and Mark came home, so I had a lot of other things to think about at that time, so I totally forgot to write a post! Daaaaaamn. Also we have no internet up there, so I couldn't do it in the evening or next day. So have one now. (You can still write another post tomorrow/later today, or we can switch days?)

Well, I had an interesting experience in the car as we were driving back today. As you might know, I like staring at watching people, especially so in the car. It's always fun to see if the people in the other cars notice me (or just the car) and how they react. Well, we were in a smallish traffic jam at the time, so a lot of the cars on the other lane went first past us and then fell behind and all that, but this one little yellow car caught my eye. I think it was because it was yellow, but for some reason I started to pay attention to it. It was quite a bit ahead of us, so it took a while to catch up with it, but we did eventually, and in it were two young people, about twenty, a guy driving and a girl as shotgun. I thought they were kinda cute. Well, that's not really unusual, but then the guy looked straight into our car (I don't know if the girl said something or if he realized I was staring) and smiled. Seriously grinned. It was so weird but in a good way and I kinda smiled back, but looked down, 'cause that's my reaction to when someone smiles at me (I guess). And then we came to a toll booth and they got ahead of us and I lost them. BUT after a while I noticed another yellow car in the rear-view mirror and was like "no way, they were ahead of us", and then the car passed us - from the driver's side this time - and the girl waved at me. This cute little wave and I smiled again and felt all weird and fuzzy on the inside. I kept track on the car, but then we took an exit off the highway so we wouldn't be stuck on a really big traffic jam and the yellow car kept going.

tl;dr: Today I got a reminder of other people. That they are, you know, people. How inside every one of the cars we passed, is a person (or several) with their own life stories. And how sometimes we get to be a part of those stories, however briefly, and they get to be a part of our stories. And I think that's lovely.

Pie out.
